State exam
Insurance Producer exams are required for Life, Health, Property, Casualty, Surplus Lines and Personal Lines. Adjuster exams are required for General Lines, Health and Crop, and Public Adjuster requires an exam. Consultant, Life Settlement Broker, Life Settlement Investment Agent and Pharmaceutical Sales Representative do not.
Fingerprints and background check
Applicants answer background questions about living outside Oregon for sixty or more consecutive days and provide driver's licence information. No vendor or agency is named.

Also worth knowing
Applicants must be eighteen or older with an Oregon residence or business address that is not a P.O. Box. Consultant applicants need $500,000 in errors and omissions cover.
