What Oklahoma requires

State exam
Exams are required for Insurance Producer, Title, Adjuster, Bail Bondsman and Public Adjuster, and not required for Limited Lines Producer, Surplus Lines Broker, Reinsurance Intermediary, Portable Electronics, Emergency Adjuster, Motor Service Club or Managing General Agent. Exams are valid for two years from the date taken.
Fingerprints and background check
Supporting documents go through NIPR's Attachments Warehouse where a background question is answered yes. No vendor or agency is named.
How to apply
Apply electronically through NIPR. A first-time resident must upload a legible colour copy of both sides of their Oklahoma driver's licence or ID to the NIPR warehouse, and the application is held for seven days.
License term and renewal
Renewal is allowed within ninety days before the expiration date.
Also worth knowing
An applicant may be exempt from the licence exam if applying within ninety days of cancellation of a former resident state licence. P.O. Box addresses are not accepted. Apprentice Adjuster is paper application only.
