Exam requirements vary by licence class. Insurance Producer requires exams for Life, Accident and Health, Property and Casualty; Variable Life and Variable Annuity does not.
Fingerprints and background check
Every resident applicant must be fingerprinted as part of the application, as must anyone reactivating a cancelled resident licence or amending a resident licence issued more than two years ago. The state completes the check and no third-party vendor is named.
