- $50 (Insurance Producer)
- State exam
- Exams are required for Insurance Producer, Consultant (Life & Health, Property, Casualty), Viatical Broker, Public Adjuster and Motor Club Representative, and not required for Producer Surplus Lines, Producer PreNeed, Managing General Agent, Utilization Review Agent, Reinsurance Intermediary or Navigator.
- Fingerprints and background check
- Supporting documents, including an explanation of events and court documents, are required where a background question is answered yes. No vendor or agency is named.
- How to apply
- Apply electronically through NIPR, with electronic payment.
- License term and renewal
- Individual producer licences expire on the last day of the licensee's birth month.
- Also worth knowing
- Applicants must be at least eighteen and keep their principal residence in Nebraska. Late renewal is allowed within thirty days with a $40 late fee.

What score do I need to pass?
The published passing score is 70%.
Does Nebraska require state-approved prelicensing education?
No. Nebraska does not mandate prelicensing education for the Life license - passing the exam is what qualifies you. Exam prep alone is sufficient.
