- State exam
- Insurance Producer exams are required for Life, Accident & Health or Sickness, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines, Credit, Crop, Legal Expense, Bail Bonds and Surety, and not required for Portable Electronics, Self-Service Storage, Title, Travel or Variable Life and Variable Annuity. Public Adjuster requires an exam; Surplus Lines Producer does not.
- Fingerprints and background check
- Supporting documents go through NIPR's Attachments Warehouse where a background question is answered yes. No vendor is named.

- Apply electronically through NIPR's Resident License application.

- The fees shown are state fees only and exclude NIPR transaction fees. Public Adjuster applicants must post a $20,000 bond.

How many questions are on the North Dakota Personal Lines exam?
North Dakota administers the Personal Lines, 110 scored questions, a 150-minute time limit, administered by PSI. The exam fee is $58.
What score do I need to pass?

Does North Dakota require state-approved prelicensing education?
