What Missouri requires

- Application fee
- $100 renewal fee, as the page prints it (Public Adjuster)
- State exam
- Exams are required for Insurance Producer (Life, Accident & Health, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines, Crop, Title), Surplus Lines, Bail Bond Agent, Navigator, Public Adjuster and Public Adjuster Solicitor. Exams are not required for Insurance Producer Variable Life and Annuities, Credit or Travel, nor for Motor Vehicle Extended Services Contract, General Bail Bond Agent or Limited Lines Self-Service Storage Producer.
- Fingerprints and background check
- Bail Bond Agent, General Bail Bond Agent and Surety Recovery Agent applicants must submit supplemental documentation and fingerprints. The page states no fingerprint requirement for the other classes.
- How to apply
- Apply electronically through NIPR's Resident License application.
- License term and renewal
- Insurance Producer applicants, other than Motor Vehicle Extended Services Contract, may late renew electronically for up to one year past the expiration date.
- Also worth knowing
- The page prints a renewal fee rather than an application fee for several adjuster and bail classes. Non-citizen applicants must submit work authorisation.

Missouri administers the Public Adjuster, 50 scored questions, a 60-minute time limit, administered by Pearson VUE. The exam fee is $25.
What score do I need to pass?
Missouri does not publish a passing score for this examination, so treat the candidate handbook as the authority rather than any figure quoted elsewhere.
Does Missouri require state-approved prelicensing education?
No. Missouri does not mandate prelicensing education for the Public Adjuster license - passing the exam is what qualifies you. Exam prep alone is sufficient.
