State exam
NIPR verifies exams before allowing submission, and examination scores are good for two years from the date of the exam. Insurance Producer exams cover Life, Accident & Health or Sickness, Variable Life and Variable Annuities, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines, Crop, Title, Bail Bonds and Pre-Need.
Fingerprints and background check
Applicants must complete all fingerprinting, criminal background check and associated authorisation or waiver requirements as directed by the Kansas Insurance Department. No vendor is named.

A producer applying between 91 days and four years after expiration must be continuing-education compliant; a public adjuster applying between one and four years after expiration must be as well. A Certificate of Tax Clearance and a copy of a valid Kansas ID are required.
